Narimon Majitovich Umarov, the candidate for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Uzbekistan «Adolat» Social Democratic Party, was born in 1952 in the city of Tashkent. Nationality – Uzbek. Education – higher. In 1974, he graduated from the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute. Profession – engineer-hydrogeologist. Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences.

He began his career in 1974 at the «Gidroingeo» Scientific Research Institute, working his way up from senior technical staff to deputy director for scientific work. He conducted research in the areas of improving the reclamation status of irrigated lands, developing hydrogeological forecasts related to the drying of the Aral Sea, and the rational use of groundwater in the economy.

From 1997 to 2009, he served as the head of the State Inspection for Analytical Control under the State Committee for Nature Protection, where he managed the development of a unified state system for monitoring the state of the natural environment.

From 2009 to 2013, he served as the Chairman of the State Committee for Nature Protection, where he was directly involved in the development and implementation of the state program in the field of environmental protection.

Since 2009, he has been the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the «Ekosan» International Charity Foundation for Ecology and Health, and in 2013, he was elected Chairman of the Political Council of the Uzbekistan «Adolat» SDP. In his position, he has been involved in developing and implementing comprehensive measures aimed at further strengthening the activities of «Adolat» SDP deputy groups in representative bodies of state power.

In 2014, he was elected as a deputy to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis; since 2015, he has been serving as Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and head of the «Adolat» SDP faction.

In 2012, Narimon Umarov was awarded the «Mehnat shuhrati» (Glory of Labor) order.

He is married. He is the father of three children. His wife, Kh. Khodjayeva, is a pensioner.
